not a bad drummer this guy

Perkins is probably my single greatest influence as a drummer. I was tired of straight forward rock drummers when they came out.

These are two of my favorite musicians speaking to each other, so awesome.

The joy of seeing Kevin, David, Kerry and Mike wrestle was just the greatest thing as a kid. I still have the t-shirts, signed posters, etc of them all and Kevin entering the ring bare footed was the coolest. To this day Stranglehold makes me feel like a kid.

Such an easygoing guy. He is the underrated man of the band.

One of the most underrated and overlooked Psychedelic/Alternative Rock bands in musical history.

I used to cover Prick with my old band years ago. Such a great song in its own right and so satisfying to perform live, especially with that crazy guitar solo. Got the crowds fired up every time.

These guys ruled the 90’s! I have so many great memories attending their shows. If these guys lived in So Cal back in their heyday and worked the clubs on the sunset strip, they would have been as big as Jane’s Addiction or any other mainstream alt band. They restricted themselves to Texas (mostly) but had such a huge following every where they played.

Stephen Perkins is such an iconic beatsmith. Without him Danny Carey and Tim Alexander would not exist in their present form. He molded and shaped the style and taste of many great drummers. Him and Mike Bordin for sure.

I give respect to the members of Janes Addiction, but Eric described Stephen and Dave as just doing what there told.

Didn't know that Birth Control is known outside of Europe. Gamma Ray is a classic. Love the meandering tracks. Krautrock 2000!
